Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A few years ago I started a school bar food pantry. I give two bags of food to about 20 to 25 families each week. That equals about 30 adults and about 65 children.
Breakfast, they say, is the most important meal of the day.
But many of my students don't eat breakfast. I want to make sure they have the proper meals to get them through the day. I would like them to have the food needed for the weekend and vacations. This order will be for 24 families and hopefully be enough for at least a week.
