Break Time Shouldn't Be Boring!

Help me give my students board games for fun, cold, and rainy days!

My Students

Help me build my classroom board game closet. Board games provide hands-on, active, and fun time that allows them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, my students are my inspiration!

I teach at a Title 1 public school in the Appalachian Mountains with a very high poverty level.

100% of our student receive free lunches.

Due to water damage, I lost several board games that were donated to me by retired teachers, friends, family, etc.

My Project

The board games I am requesting for my students will be used and loved in many ways for years to come. Living in Southwest Virginia has many pros, but one of the cons is, oftentimes, rain and very cold weather prevent us from enjoying break time outdoors. During winter months, it is common for our students to be stuck inside for weeks because of below-freezing temperatures. I see this as a learning opportunity for students to increase student's brain development, boost critical thinking, and help them work together collaboratively.

The board games I am requesting include many classics and new games.

Also, I have requested a prize drop board game because it will be extremely useful during school festival functions and for weekly rewards.

Thank you for supporting my project and helping my students experience the fun that can happen when playing board games, even if the weather is bad!
