Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is home to a beloved bearded dragon named Xi, who helps students learn about biology, ecosystems, and ethical animal care. To support Xi’s health and well-being, we’re requesting new branches for climbing enrichment, headlamps for safe handling during low-light hours, and a replacement UVB bulb. Branches provide essential physical and mental stimulation, encouraging natural behaviors like basking, climbing, and exploring. Meanwhile, heat and UVB lighting are crucial to a bearded dragon’s survival—helping with digestion, calcium absorption, and overall vitality.
With your support, we can ensure Xi remains a healthy, active ambassador for science and compassion in our classroom.
