I am teaching the same group of students this year!
I am so excited to see where we can go next with our social science skills! All students are different and the teachers and I work hard to meet the needs of every learner in our building. In the last few months of school, we are striving to support independent learners and thinkers.
We are a Title I school and have a high population of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
Students will learn Social Studies Skills with this project to help build their Financial Literacy Skills. In first grade, we usually start with Needs and Wants to sort through what our needs are and what our wants are. Moby and Annie do a great job explaining these things to young students. Then in second grade, we move into learning about Goods and Services and Coin Terms. Moby and Annie will take the students through saving and spending and making change within a dollar.
