My Project
Brainpop ELL is a fun and motivating resource for ENL students. Students watch simple and funny videos with a robot character:Moby and his friends. After watching the videos, students engage in a variety of activities that include vocabulary building, grammar practice, listening, reading and writing activities. It is a fun and engaging activity to share with students. This program is well liked by beginning and intermediate students that speak all languages.
This program is especially useful for my newcomer ENL students.
I used the introductory lesson with my Bengali student and she was delighted and asked for more. Individual subscriptions for Brainpop are expensive, so I am asking donors to help me fun a subscription to use with my beginning English as a New Langauge students at my Brooklyn middle school.
