My Students
My students are a sweet and motivated bunch, each with their own strengths and challenges. Many are learning English as a second language, while striving to keep up with the rigorous pace of public school. Others need some creative assistance with meeting kinesthetic needs to aid with focus and attention span. Some come from poverty or other difficult situations, but we all strive to be one ohana that cares for each other. We are Kealakehe Warriors of Kailua Kona, Hawaii!
My Project
Growing students are always hungry, and it takes a lot of fuel to power their brains! Many of the children at our school come from low-income families, and cannot afford to have snacks for the school day.
This disadvantage can cause lack of focus, mood swings, trouble interacting with peers, fatigue, feelings of inferiority, and more.
Help these kind, eager, sweet kids meet their basic physical needs so they can be as successful as possible this school year. Your donations will help provide healthy, nutritious snacks to kindergarten kids in need. This will help them concentrate, and focus on learning.
