This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What's your superpower? For many children in today's educational institutions, their superpower is being bilingual or multilingual. I'm fortunate to have a very diverse group of students in my classroom. I have three students that speak Spanish. I'd like to add some novels and picture books to my class library to help encourage their language development and foster the joy of reading.
There are published studies that now believe people who are bilingual or multilingual speakers are less likely to develop Alzheimer's as they get older.
So, I'd definitely say that being a bilingual/ multilingual speaker is indeed a superpower.
