This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is composed of 21 amazing second grade scholars who are all very creative, resilient, and caring. Our school just opened in South Central this year so we do not have many resources yet, but we hope to have plenty in the future!
Every day, my students work hard to better themselves.
They have a great thirst for knowledge and use the resources they have to learn as much as they can. I am so impressed by their ability to learn new information and share it with others.
My Project
Our school is brand new and has very limited resources since we are only in our first year. Teachers work hard to create their own materials and curriculum, but our students do not have textbooks or other common reference materials for Science and Social Studies.
Even though we do not have any textbooks this year, we would still love to have access to a student-safe reference resource such as Brain Pop and Brain Pop Jr.
for students to be able to use independently to conduct research. The students love learning with Brain Pop lessons in class, but very few resources are available for free. It would be a dream come true if all students could have their own personal account to track their learning.
