This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day my students come to school full of energy and eager to learn. Some students show up with full bellies, backpacks, and pencils but many are dropped off in a line of cars that are rushing to get to work. Although our school offers free breakfast and lunch to all, many students show up late, or need a little extra, and miss out on a nutritious breakfast and come to my room looking for a snack.

Students come to my classroom knowing they will find basic necessities such as food, water, and hygiene products that are free to them when in need.

Keeping my classroom stocked up on water bottles will allow for thirsty students to stay hydrated in our hot desert climate. The breakfast foods and snacks will keep students brains ready to learn and be sure to impact their mood in a positive way.
