Brain Food for the New Year!

Help me give my students snack they enjoy! We always tend to run out of snack/brain food by middle of the year. There are also some replenishing items for the classroom that are included in this project.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It's a tough world out there, but my kids make the best of it. They have learned that greeting friends daily can make someone feel happy. They love to give compliments to their teachers because this puts a smile on their teachers face.

They have shown me the importance of community and in person interaction.

This year have focused more on social emotional skills than ever before. It has helped me slow down and really enjoy them as individuals. We have focused on their well being more than ever. We learning words to help us express how we are feeling. This is a HUGE deal for 5 and 6 year olds.

Don't get me wrong, academics is still a high priority, but everyday I want them to know that I am here for them whether it be for a reading problem, an air hug or getting them a Band-Aid.

My Project

My students have a long academically challenging work load each day and having some extra "treats" sure make the day go by smoother and faster.

We have some good snacks/brain food in this project and they helped pick them out.

I notice a huge improvement in behavior and concentration once they have a snack break.

I also have a few replenishing products for out classroom. Laminating sheets is a HUGE need in our classroom! We use our laminating machine quit often and I am always running low on laminating sheets. three packs will hold us over till the end of the year.
