My Students

My students are energetic students that are on the move all the time! They love to be engaged in learning new things and are excited to come to school to see what we are doing next. Each student is on their own level, striving to learn authentically so they can apply their knowledge in real-world experiences.

My students come into the room each day excited about what they will learn next.

They are excited about their accomplishments and love to share them with others. They come from a strong community, but the methods and environments in which they learn varies. We incorporate different learning strategies to help each child succeed. These include group work, alternative seating, and at times stations. They are an amazing group of students! They are creative and share so much with each other on their journey of learning.

My Project

During the colder months students are often kept inside due to the weather. During this time they need activities and games that will not only entertain them, but will challenge their mind!

Students can deepen their thinking and strategy skills through play.

The games that have been chosen will help students think strategically, be creative, and thoughtful as they play. Each of these are skills that students must use in everyday learning. Using the games during down time, or inside recess, will help students further develop their minds to use these skills naturally and apply them while they regular school work. The wonderful thing is they won't even realize they are building skills!
