This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Decoding is a key skill for learning to read. If students can't decode words their reading will lack fluency, their vocabulary will be limited, and their reading comprehension will suffer.
Decoding skills are critical for reading success, and these materials will supply my students with more opportunities to practice this skill.
The Touch Read Phonics Word Match- Complete Set and the Touch Read Phonics Sentence Match - Complete Set will be fun and beneficial additions to our Literacy Center, and they will be used in small groups to supplement reading instruction.
My students need practice in decoding and these materials will give them that practice.
