My Students

We live in northern Maine. My students come primarily from middle to low-income households; therefore, resources are often minimal.

I have a classroom filled with inquisitive minds! My learners enter my classroom each day with big smiles. They are eager to learn. They are very motivated and thirsting for knowledge. Every day my learners make me proud. When they feel successful, I feel successful. That magic moment when they realize they can READ is the best! The light right up and their beaming smiles say it all.

My Project

These books would help fill our classroom library. My learners love to read and challenge their brains. As they move up reading levels, I would have more books available to meet their needs. I would love to fill up some baskets with various early readers for those ready for the challenge.

My learners love books! Books help our minds grow in so many ways! Although we are in a technology-driven world, my learners enjoy having a book in their hands. The confidence they gain as they move up reading levels melts my heart! They are starting to show great interest in the early readers I have now, and this project would provide them with many more options! With these amazing resources, my learners would have books to help build their fluency and comprehension.
