My Project
A gifted classroom benefits greatly from Brain Boosters, STEM, and SEL resources; gifted students excel with enriched, balanced, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. In addition, gifted students thrive on learning and get deep satisfaction from solving challenging hands-on tasks and puzzles. The requested resources will keep the brain actively challenged and curious.
Strategy games and STEM supplies expand their creative and critical thinking skills, and the requested resources help support their social-emotional learning, fostering mental health.
My students would love the opportunity to add new games and hands-on activities to our collection and create a classroom culture that values effort over perfection and encourages risk-taking. I teach high school gifted students in mixed grade level groups; the games/resources help them build community while improving their thinking skills. With the addition of new games, STEM activities, and flexible seating, students will continue to practice and build various skills: communication, collaboration, problem-solving, leadership, emotional regulation, and sportsmanship. Gifted students often crave independence. Flexible seating allows them to choose how and where they work best, fostering self-directed learning and responsibility. Just as instruction is differentiated for gifted learners, the physical learning environment should be adaptable. Flexible seating also helps meet their academic and social-emotional needs more holistically. Overall, these resources offer a dynamic and engaging platform for practicing and learning in a fun and interactive way, and growing socially and emotionally! Lastly, our building is an open concept school with minimal storage. The requested cart will keep everything organized and ready for use for years to come. Thank you for your consideration!
