This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.

I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.

Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third grade, English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.

My Project

I am requesting funds to purchase Airheads, light up glasses, cookies, king crowns, and dinosaurs toys. At my school we celebrate Boy's Day and I would like to provide crowns for the boys in my classroom to feel even more special that day. I will also like to provide them with a bad of goodies. On this day the boys get to wear their Sunday best. The boys will write about that day for their scrapbooks that are highlighted by a photograph that goes with their writing. Thank you for considering funding our project.
