Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the tricks with a STEM class is to be resourceful and purposeful in planning. The classes are highly engaging and provide many opportunities for students to create new things. However, they are also material intensive and require some creativity to gather and use the materials effectively.
Cardboard boxes are a great resource to use- they are sturdy for construction and they are easy to source (there is never a shortage of cardboard boxes around a school site).
We just need the tools to make the process more efficient. The tools in this project will make it easier to work with all different types of cardboard and reduce the time needed to prepare and complete a project. In addition, it will make it safer because, as we all know, having the correct tool for the job means less risk of injury. Safety is always our first goal.
