Bowling for Autism!

My students need bowling materials to learn how to bowl before going to a bowling alley and playing a real game!

My Students

My students attend a charter school for children with autism. The school is also a Title l school. Being a charter school, we depend on private grants and donations to enhance the learning environment and experiences that the children are able to have.

My students are excited to play and learn new sporting skills.

Currently, we do not have a playground so to get exercise, we have to be creative in the classroom and in our surroundings. The kids love to play and socialize together!

My Project

Living in Florida, it is hot for most of the year. My students can complain at times that it is too hot to run around outside and play. By using these bowling balls and pins, my students would be able to keep active inside and learn to bowl.

My students love to play sports and are very competitive with each other.

This would allow them to work on counting and adding skills as well as telling who knocked over more or less pins. After we use this equipment, we could go on a field trip to a bowling alley and use the skills that were acquired.
