My Students
Our classroom is designed to support students not only academically but also socially and emotionally. It is a safe inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and listened to.
My students are a combination of General Education students and Special Education students.
We are an inclusive environment that focuses not only on academics but also on creating a safe, warm, loving classroom where every student feels capable and willing to take risks. Each student is given the opportunity to complete their work where they feel they can do their best.
My Project
In order to be successful learners, students need to be comfortable in their environment. By giving students options as to where they think their best learning can happen, they are more likely to succeed.
Many of my students require sensory input during the day in order to focus and stay on task.
The yoga ball chairs will fulfill this need for my students. They will be able to receive their sensory input while they are working. The yoga balls will allow them to bounce and move without disturbing their classmates.
I have already seen growth in how my students work academically by giving them different seating options besides a desk and a chair.
