Bouncing Our Way Through Math Class

My students need bouncy bands! My 6th graders have lots of energy and these bouncy bands really help them stay focused when they have to be in their desks.

My Students

My students are amazing and energetic young people who are excited about learning and love using today's technology. Sixth grade is an important time of transition from elementary to middle school. I love guiding my students through this important time in their lives.

I want to help my students be kind, technologically savvy, responsible citizens who maybe even learn to love math!

Many kids think they can't be good at math, but I know they can!

We are an economically and ethnically diverse community and meeting the needs of our students is the number one goal. Every child deserves to be loved and have opportunities to succeed. I hope you will help me help them!

My Project

Sitting still can be a real bummer for some of my most active 6th graders. Bouncy bands attach to the front legs of our desks so that students can bounce their feet. They are a great way for students to be active without distracting other students.

With these bouncy bands my students can keep their feet on the move and their minds on the math!

Some kids just have a hard time coming to a stop and staying focused. This is especially tough on test days. With these bands students can keep moving without creating any noise or motions that pull other students attention away from their tasks. Thank you for helping my students be successful math students!
