We have the (i)Pads...now we need to protect them!

My students are a group of 26 ELL (English language learners) kindergarten children from a school in a suburban Michigan city.

We are five years old, and we love school. Most of the children in my class have not had the privilege of going to preschool, and nearly all of them receive free lunch.

My Project

Recent research shows that iPads have helped to increase kindergarten literacy. Well, we have the iPads and now we need to protect them to make sure that they can be used by students in the years to come. Many of my students come to me in the fall years behind their peers. They do not go to preschool, they do not have the background knowledge that other children their age have, and more often than not, they have parents that cannot help them at home. I want to be able to motivate my English Language Learners and by using our newly donated iPads, I am able to do so. I want to ensure that our brand new iPads will service many students in the years to come. The iBallz protection system will allow my students to use our new technology without the fear of them damaging them. They will be able to choose the iPads during our Literacy Block and independently use them all while being protected by the iBallz harness and case.

In doing so, all of the children that pass through my classroom will have the opportunity to use a wonderful piece of technology that will put them ahead of their peers!
