This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of unique students who are excited to learn every day! Many of my students are English language learners and have limited exposure to English at home, so as their teacher it is a privilege to enrich their learning as much as possible. Many of my students come from low-income families, therefore the supplies and resources that they have access to are limited.

As a teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure that my students get both a character education plus a rich instructional education. Our school is a place that embraces all students for who they are and tries to give them opportunities that they normally would not have.
My Project
The Gator Balls will help engage students of all ages in multiple games that help them develop their fine motor skills as well as their gross motor skills. These balls are simple but something that my students have never had the opportunity to play with.
Tchoukball nets will help reimagine gym for my students from Pre-K to fifth grade.
The students will be learning the new game of Tchoukball with the nets. They will learn how to work together as a team, strategize and compete. They will learn how to communicate with one another and grow as thinkers in addition to growing the fine and gross motor skills.
Both the Gator Balls and Tchockball nets are simple pieces of gym equipment but will make a huge impact to children who have never had the opportunity to use them.
