it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

What better way to learn about effort and teamwork than to spend some time on the playground.
I have a variety of students who are excited to learn about the world around them!
Many of them are eager to get on the playground and benefit from learning rules, fundamentals, and coordination skills at their age.
I have a school that, unfortunately, does not get many resources provided through our district because we are not eligible. It is our curse to have high performing students. Unfortunately, our students still need attention and resources to continue thriving. Through donors, on sites like these, teachers are able to get support from our community that wants to help children like ours; children who are demonstrating they are eager to learn and just need the resources to do so.
My Project
My students will be able to learn basics of traditional sports and to be active on a regular basis. With the resources provided, we will all get to participate more often than 24 students waiting their turn to go with one ball available to them. We can practice basketball drills in small groups with all the basketballs provided. We can kick playground balls in different rotations around the play yard. Or play a game of soccer with the two nets and soccer ball provided. We can even refine our hitting skills (soft baseballs/bats) as teams, while we imagine we are world class athletes.
This project benefits current and future students by encouraging and motivating them to stay active and healthy.
It will also help many feel more confident in looking to participate in recreational sports throughout their communities.
