Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely adore my students at PS 28! Each day, I am inspired by their resilience, curiosity, and unique perspectives. They come from diverse backgrounds, and their eagerness to learn, especially in our bilingual and special education environment, is truly remarkable. I love how they embrace challenges and celebrate each other’s successes, creating a supportive classroom community.
The resources I’m requesting—ink, clipboards, colorful pens, vibrant markers, and bouncy chair bands—are essential for enhancing their learning experience.
The ink and colorful writing tools will help ignite their creativity during writing and art projects, allowing them to express their thoughts and ideas visually. Clipboards will provide them with a portable workspace, enabling collaborative activities and outdoor learning adventures, which are crucial for keeping their engagement high.
The bouncy chair bands are particularly important for my special education students. These bands will allow them to fidget and move while they work, helping to improve focus and reduce anxiety. By providing them with an outlet for their physical energy, we can create a more conducive learning environment that caters to their individual needs.
My goal for this project is to create a vibrant, engaging, and supportive classroom where every student feels empowered to learn and grow. I want to foster their love for learning and help them develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
What makes my students special is their unwavering spirit and determination. They face challenges with courage and always strive to support one another. Together, we can create a classroom that celebrates their uniqueness and helps them thrive! Thank you for considering supporting our project!
