Bounce, Fidget and Learn

My students need alternate seating including balance balls and wobble stools, and fidget toys to help get the wiggles out and improve their focus.

My Students

I work at the best elementary school where all our students are on "the road to success." My students are part of a Title I school in a big city. We have a very diverse population with students from over 92 countries and many students are English language learners.

Walk into my room and you will see the best group of students.

My classroom is a self-contained special education class. We have students with a variety of needs in both educational and life skills. Each student is unique and brings me joy when I see him or her succeed.

My Project

We enjoy learning, experiencing, and having fun throughout our school day. My students are very busy little kids with short attention spans. They are forever struggling to sit sill and listen to me teach.

With your help my students will be more successful both in my classroom and in the school community.

I need alternate seating options for my students to be able to sit and move as I teach. I am requesting two sizes of wobble stools, a t-stool, and stay-and-balance ball chairs. I will be able to mix alternate seating for each student as they need them. Along with being able to sit and move, I am in need of visual fidgets to help my students calm themselves when they get overwhelmed and to use for assemblies and times when in large groups. When my students are in large groups it is hard for them to take in all that is going on. Having fidgets helps them stay calm and quiet. I'm asking for various water motion toys as well as a water and star filled wand that will help my students remain calm when out in the school community.
