My Students
Hello, wonderful DonorsChoose donors! I want to thank you for your time as I introduce the most awesome middle school students which I have the pleasure to teach. The students in our school district have the opportunity to be part of a culture that is rich in diversity and very supportive of student learning. Our students work hard and have many, many successes in and out of the classroom. All students in our school district believe in being fit for life as the physical education curriculum is one hundred percent fitness based.
The school district has set the precedent that fitness is valued for everyone, and our students see this modeled at every grade level.
Our students enjoy engaging in many different types of fitness activities and truly comprehend why fitness is extremely valuable and important.
My Project
We are asking for official size basketballs that will be used by all our students to engage in a cardio activity. We try to have our students engage in a cardio activity at least four days a week. We want them to exercise in their target heart rate zone.
These basketballs will be used during our cardio basketball unit in the fall and winter as we see our students for only semester each school year.
Our students love basketball, and it is a great way to get their heart rates up in their target heart rate zones each day that they have class.
