My Students
My twenty-five first graders are curious, active, and full of energy! They love trying new things, making messes, and working together most days. We are an awesome first grade class in a large school of over thirteen hundred students.
Our grade level makeup includes a diverse cultural population of inquisitive boys and girls, varying ability levels, and amazing personalities.
We truly are a small community within our school community and feel so fortunate to have such wonderful students. Our school is located in Georgia.
My Project
We would love to welcome a set of Botleys to first grade! Botley is a new innovative coding robot that will have students intrigued and excited about problem solving. Students will have access to hands-on coding challenges appropriate to their developmental level. They will work with partners to design code as well as making tracks and taking on specific challenges. Students will collaborate and cooperate as they explore this technology!
They will code, make improvements, and code some more!
They will work together and build their speaking and listening skills in the meantime. We cannot wait to take on the challenge of coding and connecting Botley the robot. On your mark, get set, let's Botley!
