My Students
Many of the students in my teaching community come to school with a smile and an eager learning attitude, they have challenges that they have to overcome before coming to school.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school in Atlanta, I know that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
These young scholars want to learn and make good choices. Sometimes peer pressure may sneak in and cause them not to make the best choices.
My Project
I am seeking resources to help my volleyball team be competitive. As an intercity volleyball coach, I want my female athletes to be competitive and to know the game of volleyball. Many of my athletes are not able to play club or travel volleyball. Their only exposure to volleyball is at school and in a school setting. I want my athletes to play volleyball in college. In order to play in college, my girls have to learn technique and the game. I am asking for the setting resources to teach my setters the correct way to hold their hands to set a volleyball. I am also requesting a spike challenger to teach my female athletes the correct placement of their hands.
