it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Born a Crime will be used in my classroom so adolescents can explore ways of ensuring everyone is treated with kindness and dignity. At the same time, it will be used to improve their literacy.
Born a Crime showcases the way real people have been mistreated and gives students the opportunity, through reading, writing, and exploration to fix this mistreatment going forward.
We will be able to work through our ideas together during Socratic seminars. We will be broadening our minds and discovering real ways of fostering a better sense of community through our daily exchanges from the very start of class with our aim and do-now until the very end with our summation. this book is a game-changer and students want to read this book!
