Help me give my students the opportunity to read this compelling, witty truth-telling and brilliant comedy all wrap in one novel. This will be a book that our Junior English class will read.
It is such a pleasure an honor to be the Librarian and work with our 750 high school students throughout their high school career. We have some amazing and great students here!
I would like to say our students are some of the best, and watching them grow, learn and respond as young adults is a delight.
They are curious and inquisitive about so much around them, that I love to offer as many choices as possible for them to see life from all angles.
My Project
We have a lot of intricated projects throughout the high school career. We like to introduce our students to different ways of thinking, responding, adapting to new situations and working cohesively with others.
The book by Trevor Noah, Born a Crime will help our students to deepen their perspective of the complexities of race, gender and class that they may or may not face.
As they dig deep into the social, emote, economical and other issues that fellow students are faced with daily, they recognize how they can help to make a difference on the lives of their peers.
