My Students
The typical day in our class is full of students who are eager to learn using technology. They are actively engaged when technology is used in my lessons daily. Several of my students don't have access to a computer, I would like to give them a chance to explore technology and reinforce skills.
There are 29 students in the class.
They come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our school is an A+ performing school, but due to budget cuts it is impossible to get new technology for the class. The students are excited to have the opportunity to try new games using the SMART Board in the class. All of the students are enthusiastic about learning. I am looking for a new way to challenge their abilities.
My Project
We will be using the CD-ROM games to review and practice concepts we have been learning in class. All students need a strong foundation in the basic conceptsof vocabulary, reading and math, and I am hoping that these games will help give my students a strong foundation for future years. These activities will help the students to practice and prepare for state assessments this next spring.
I feel this project will improve my class by providing students an opportunity to work with technology instead of worksheets.
This will help prepare my students for the new assessments by giving them a fun and engaging way to practice material already learned in class.
