My Project
In my first grade classroom I like to keep things interesting. One of the new ideas I would love to implement next year is a First Grade Boot Camp.
Expect the unexpected and making learning fun in first grade is crucial to success within the classroom.
I will use these items to transform my classroom into a military BOOT CAMP. I will provide my first grade students with the proper attire. I will push student desks together and cover with the requested tablecloths. I will provide each new recruit with a dog tag that has a motivational message on it. Each student will be given a helmet to protect their growing brains. I will hang the pennants and signs up in the classroom. I will paint each child's face if he or she wants it. The military mesh will cover the doorways to give the feel that they are actually hunkering down for the day.
We will be reviewing many Reading and Math state standards for mastery while taking part in this BOOT CAMP.
