Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am fortunate to work with an amazing group of special needs students who are curious, resilient, and full of potential. Each of my students has unique sensory and physical needs, and they thrive when given opportunities to move, explore, and engage in hands-on activities that support their development. The equipment I am requesting, such as a trampoline, wobble cushions, and other sensory fitness tools, will make a significant difference in their learning.
These resources will help my students build coordination, strength, and focus while addressing their sensory processing needs.
For example, a wobble cushion will allow a student to stay seated while releasing extra energy, and a trampoline provides a SAFE outlet for movement and sensory regulation.
The goal of this project is to create an inclusive and engaging environment that fosters physical development, sensory integration, and overall confidence. These tools will allow my students to meet their sensory needs in POSITIVE ways, enabling them to focus better during academic tasks and social interactions.
What makes my students special is their determination and joy in learning through movement and exploration. With your help, I can ensure they have the tools they need to succeed and grow into their best selves. Thank you for supporting their journey!
