Boosting Speech Skills One Story at a Time

Help me give my students books that go along with companions I have to promote speech and language skills in literacy based activities.

My Project

My students are eager, curious learners who thrive when language is brought to life in meaningful, engaging ways. Many of them receive speech and language support and benefit from structured, interactive activities that help build their vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and expressive communication skills.

This project will provide a collection of high-interest books, each paired with speech-language companions—such as visual supports, vocabulary cards, WH-question prompts, sequencing activities, and articulation practice.

These resources will allow me to tailor each book to support specific language goals in a fun and functional way.

Books are powerful tools for learning, and when combined with targeted speech-language materials, they become even more impactful. Whether we’re working on describing, retelling, answering questions, or using complete sentences, these book companions will help bring language skills to life.

With your support, my students will gain access to meaningful materials that make speech and language practice feel like play. Together, we can build stronger voices—one story at a time.
