This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students show up every day with curiosity and determination, even when the work is tough. They want to succeed—not just to pass a test, but to understand why things work the way they do. They're learning to think like scientists: asking questions, analyzing data, and justifying their ideas with evidence.

Right now, one major barrier is access to the tools they need to learn and collaborate effectively.

Our school does not have enough charging carts for students to consistently access their devices, which makes it harder for them to complete virtual labs, practice EOC-level questions, and engage with digital learning platforms.

This project will help change that. The mobile charging cart ensures our classroom devices are charged, organized, and ready to go—so no one loses learning time. The student whiteboards and markers will support real-time thinking, peer collaboration, and quick checks for understanding. The ultrawide monitor will serve as a shared visual hub where students can work together to analyze biology data, model scientific reasoning, and break down rigorous assessment tasks in a way that’s clear and interactive.

These resources will empower my students to build confidence, sharpen their reasoning skills, and grow into the kind of thinkers who thrive far beyond the classroom.
