My Project
As a high school special education teacher, I know the value and importance of planned movement and flexible seating options for students that struggle to focus in structured settings. Flexible seating options such as standing desks, seat cushions, and resistance bands can help students manage their movement, attention, and focus more independently. With these tools, students can put more energy into their academics and less energy managing their behavior. Since these resources are durable and can be used year after year, they would help my students succeed for years to come.
