This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Creativity takes Courage." - Henri Matisse
My students are very artistic, creative, and take on every challenge with grace.
Every year my students create their own sketchbooks out of music sheets that the music department no longer needs. I would love for each of my art students to own their own sketchbooks.
They are the fuel that inspires me to be a better teacher every day. My students take pride in their artwork and get excited to share the finished product with their peers and other teachers on campus. New sketchbooks will help boost up the artistic confidence of 150+ students.
My Project
My students will be able to use these sketchbooks as part of their creative process, taking notes and completing warm-up assignments.
In addition, real progress in student's developing as an interactive designer will depend on how frequently and habitually they sketch out their ideas and their variations, reflecting on the ideas, and then developing those that seem promising.
By donating to our project you will give a professional looking sketchbook to each of my 150 students to encourage them to develop the habit of working frequently to develop creative ideas and essentially lead them to not only become stronger artists, but also give them a boost in their artistic confidence.
