My students need a set of Vocabulary Instant Learning Centers , Vocabulary Match-Ups and Building Language Photo Library to boost their vocabulary and become better speakers!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are all delightful children with various disabilities, but each one has a smile that will melt your heart. I work with children diagnosed with autism, cognitive impairment, communication impairment, and specific learning disability.
My students are all a joy to work with, each having their own strengths and weaknesses.
Some of my students are verbal, others communicate with gestures, pictures, and some sign. I love to help them find their way to communicate. I love to see the glitter in their eye when they make an achievement or make their needs and wants known. I love to be the one to provide them with what it is that they desire when they ultimately communicate!
My Project
My special education students learn best visually, especially those with autism. All of these pictures will be hands on activities for my students to help them to boost their vocabulary and learn how words work together in language. They can learn names of pictures, learn from context clues, learn multiple meaning words, and will learn all the essential skills in order to make it in the general education curriculum. Worksheets and busy work are always difficulty for my students and learning in a different way is the best motivating way to have my students learn and participate. These supplies will do just the trick.
