Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When you are one of our students, you are part of the family. Our school has a tradition of pride and excellence, as well as a tight-knit community. Our students love to participate in learning opportunities of all kinds, including our book clubs and literacy experiences that deepen their knowledge and connect them with others, their community, and with history.

My Project

I am planning to use the 2 book sets with our high school book club and our ELA small reading group rotation. I am hoping to fulfill many requests for books on sports, finance, investment and other topics of high interest. The books selected will be read and loved by many. They will be used in English class, in the library and as our monthly selections for our vibrant and popular book club. Ace of Spades will be a perfect book to kick off December, and Tokyo Ever After for December or January.
