Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Calculators are a vital tool for helping students grasp key mathematical concepts and develop essential problem-solving skills. With access to a calculator, students can focus on understanding the deeper concepts of math—such as algebraic manipulation, graphing functions, and solving complex equations—without getting bogged down by lengthy calculations. This will enable them to work more efficiently, review their answers, and apply their knowledge to more advanced math topics. By providing students with calculators, we are giving them the resources they need to succeed not only in math but also in future academic and career pursuits.

Our goal for this project is to ensure that every student has access to a calculator, allowing them to engage more deeply with the curriculum and complete tasks with greater accuracy and confidence.

Having these tools will enable students to take ownership of their learning, experiment with different problem-solving methods, and feel empowered to tackle complex problems independently. The ultimate goal is to enhance student engagement and academic achievement by providing the necessary tools for success.

Our students are dedicated and eager to learn, but many face challenges due to limited resources. By providing calculators, we’re removing a key barrier to their success, ensuring that all students—regardless of background—can engage fully in their math education. Your support provides them with the tools to excel and demonstrates that their potential is valued.
