Help me give my students boomwhackers! Multiple students are needed to play a song on the boomwhackers. This requires greater student accountability, and will help the students become better musicians.
These K-6 students get to attend a music class every week! Each of the students are full of energy, and love to have fun and learn in the classroom. After doing online classes towards the beginning of the pandemic, our school is back to having in-person school.
These students love to use instruments in music class, and are always wanting to try new things in the music classroom.
My Project
Each boomwhacker is tuned to a different note on the piano scale. As students will play the boomwhacker, each student will be assigned to play one or two boomwhackers (or notes). With practicing this, students will have more practice with rhythms and a greater understanding of melody and note intervals as they play their assigned boomwhacker at the correct time in the song.
Students will also practice better social skills and team work as they practice playing a song together in a small group of students or with the whole class.
