We are part of a fantastic school community located in Nevada. The culture of the school is to maintain a high level of academic achievement while helping develop productive and socially adept citizens. We have a diverse bunch of students with a variety of cultures and social economics.
My students are future leaders who are passionate, creative, energetic, and hungry for learning.
They inspire and teach me every day, making me want to be the best teacher I can be. They are a diverse group with many receiving free or reduced-price lunch. I work continuously to offer a variety of learning opportunities for all students.

My Project
As we welcome back our distance learners to full in-person classes, our students face many challenges with academic content, social skills and emotional well-being.
An instrument that produces deep and gentle rhythmic tones is a powerful tool for fostering engaged language learning, and calming SEL activities.
The Sub-contra bass bars are a low sounding pair of chimes that can be played rhythmically to go with langage chanting and singing. This repetitive chanting and singing improves language prosody and reinforces common phrases, words and translated meaning. (Standard 4-5.2.L1.1 Participate in short conversations)
The low droning sound of the contrabass bar is also a perfect foundation for calming and stress-reducing SEL activities. Paired with the liquid floor tiles, they create an environment where learning can happen in a calming and rewarding environment. Both the Bass Bar Chimes and the Liquid Floor tiles are constructed of durable materials and can safely be sanitized to maximize participation by multiple students at a time.
