My Project
I have seven smart, motivated, hard working and amazing students that have varying learning disabilities. My students are creative, unique, and determined! They are very eager to learn and excited about school! My students are all so different, but perfect in their own way! I am very proud of their motivation and drive to better themselves and learn through the wonderful world of books!
The products I have selected will all be a part of a calming corner where they can strengthen their reading skills with books on CD and Tonie Story Tellers!
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given an alternative choice of where to learn and how to learn. These products will enhance learning as the students will be able to use lighting and sensory items to enhance their reading skills and love of words! The products will provide comfort, movement (if need be), and the feeling of safety and security while they navigate the world of words!
