Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are adorable and young students who receive early childhood special education services. Most students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. All of my students in the class have IEPs for special education. Their eligibilities include Autism, speech and language impairment, development delays, and intellectual disorders. My class is working on social-emotional development, language development, cognitive development, and physical development, including fine motor skills, music, art, physical activities, letter recognition, pre-reading skills, and pre-writing skills.
Despite their disabilities, my students are highly motivated and ready to learn.
They enjoy coming to school every day and love learning and exploring. I wish to provide everything possible for them to maximize their joy of learning.
My Project
The book stands in our class library corner have been broken for a while. We stopped using them because the books fall behind or under the stand.
Book displays are important to promote books to children.
The students will see the beautiful and attractive covers of the books and will motivate them to pick up the books and read.
By donating to this project, you will have impacts on students' development in not only language, literacy, but also genuine joy for reading and learning. My students will love seeing the beautiful book displays on these new bookstands.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
