As a kindergarten teacher it is part of my job and passion to create life long readers. A classroom library rich in choices allows my students to continue their curiosity and foster a love of literacy.
Everyday we begin our day with a read aloud.
Having a vast selection of books helps to continue my vision of a print rich classroom. As I model daily what reading looks like in a classroom, the excitement students have when they start to recognize heart words and sound out words in the books we have been reading, is truly one of the greatest things to witness.
Each year I add to our classroom library, so your help in doing this is greatly appreciated not just by me, but by my kindergartners too!
