This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are extremely dedicated and strive to achieve in each and every way. As you walk through our hallways, and visit our classrooms you hear the voices of determination. We have such an array of diversity that it makes our school very unique.
Our students are the smartest, most creative, passionate, funny and motivated kids in the Bronx.
Our vision is to prepare every student to be academically successful and socially responsible in an ever-changing and unpredictable world.
We strive to provide a safe learning community dedicated to high expectations for every student.
My Project
As I look around our class library some of the books are representative of and expanding upon our diversity, but these new additional titles will be windows and mirrors for our students. Books give my students the opportunity to step into a new world. These books will allow students to meet characters who look and live like them. They can also learn about from characters who look and live differently! I've chosen books from all genres! An inclusive class library will certainly engage our students and continue to build their love for READING and have JOY in who they are!
