My students need books that are of high interest and on their reading level. I have requested a set of Junie B. Jones books, Cam Jansen books and A to Z Mysteries.

My Students

My students are eager learners that do not have access to books that they are interested in or that are on their level.

I teach third grade in a Title l school.

On any given day I teach anywhere from 60-70 students. Many of them think that reading is boring and struggle to find books that appeal to them that they can read. I have many eager learners who lack access to books they are interested in or books on their level.

My Project

My students will have access to these books daily so that they are not stuck with the same book all the time. With access to these books, students will have many different books to choose from. Students will have the opportunity to read these books independently and relate the strategies we are working on in class. With students having access to these books it will help them grow as readers and gain a love for reading.

By having these books that are of interest to students, I expect to see students' reading improve.

By giving a student a book they love not only will their reading improve, but their love for reading will grow as well!
