I work with an amazing, diverse and eager group of students who are passionate about learning coping skills, self regulation, and ways to express their feelings through art and literature.
Our students face many challenges at home, my classroom is a safe space for them to learn and express who they are as students and individuals.
My Project
I teach students from Pre-K to 8th grade learn Social and Emotional skills that help them learn responsibility, self management, self awareness, decision making and how to have healthy relationships with themselves and others.
My students love listening to stories and finding ways in which they relate to the characters and their emotions.
It helps them understand that they are not alone and that all feelings are okay.
I am asking for a wide variety of books that I can share with all age groups as we continue to blend literature and art with Social and Emotional Learning. I also included books to help plan future lessons and projects to keep all students engaged!
