Books to Engage Readers!

Help me give my students books that they are interested in! My students LOVE the I Survived series and are always asking for more of them to read. They also love nonfiction books about sports!

My Project

The I Survived book series is one of historical fiction. These books are packed with facts about important and impactful events in our history. They allow my students to learn about historical events in a fun and exciting way. We have done books studies with the 2 books in the series that we have, and it has inspired many of my students to find the books on their own and read them! I believe that having these in our classroom library will encourage more students to learn to love reading while learning about our important history.

The graphic sports novels will also be a great addition to our class library.

I notice that many of my students love to read about their favorite sports teams or players. Many of them also love graphic novels. This to me combines the best of both worlds and will encourage the unlikely reader to get consumed in a book and want to read on!
