My Project
I will be teaching 5th-8th grade ELA this year. My school does not have a library, so my goal is to provide quality books for these students within my classroom. I am working to create a diverse classroom library for these grade levels to ensure students can find books that spark their interests.
There are so many distractions in students' lives today.
Yet, it has been shown that reading is the best way for young people to gain background knowledge and vocabulary in order to further their learning.
My students are curious and hungry to learn. Please help me ignite and foster the love of reading in these middle school kids. Thank you for your consideration!
