My Students

My students are first graders in Carlsbad, California. We are a multicultural classroom with so much to share and learn from each other.

In my first grade classroom we continually explore, inquire, communicate, collaborate, experiment, practice, create and grow.

I am so proud to be a part of their foundation and help inspire these great little minds! They are all so very excited to learn each day and give their best in our classroom community, as well as in the strong school wide community we have built.

My Project

I am looking to build my library with books that will unite us as a class family. We are all online and do not get to mingle in person at this time.

I am hoping to build the feeling of unity, belonging, and encourage empathy within my first grade family.

My class has a lot of growing to do this year and it will be online for a big portion of that learning. I believe that using the power of books to bring learning experiences into their homes can go a long way! Books take you places... even when you cannot go anywhere. So, we will unite through fabulous, thought provoking texts to inspire our hearts, minds, and souls.
